In courses on "public speaking", cross-examination exercises are usually needed to train a person’s ability to handle objections. Of course a "training course" is very different from a "debate competition", but we can draw different ideas from them.

This is a great scene to introduce a course on Public Speaking, or generally for effective communication. It is to be shown in its "negative" light: how to definitely bore your listeners.

Professor Hundert gets invited to the reunion of one of his classes, and after the dinner, his ex students play a bad joke on him. The next morning they pretend to have gone without even saying goodbye to him. Just as he begins doubting that he has failed in his mission to teach good manners, his students appear and present him with a plaque as a reward for the life spent in service of others.

The short clip shows a teacher who is determined to build the character of these future women who will have to make important decisions, that sometimes go against the system. Yet the system is too rigid, to the point that she decides to leave.
